Before any movement takes place, how does it feel to be comfortable in our own bodies? Too often with physical activity, the emphasis is put on the end result rather than on the process of developing a healthy relationship with our physical selves.
In The Feel Good Workshop, Rowan leads us through a vast range of non-performance driven exercises and conversations as we attempt to address some of the negative thought patterns that may be getting in the way of reconciling mind and body.
Rowan is a queer non binary artist based in Montreal. This workshop is a safe space for people of any age, race, gender identity, sexual orientation, class, ability, language or cultural background.
Please note that the venue is unfortunately not wheelchair accessible as it is located on the second floor of a building with no elevator.
Suggested admission 20$ / PWYC (pay what you can).
No pre-registration necessary.

Lo Fi Dance Theory is proud to announce our ‘Workshop 1’ series this February and March at White Wall Studio in Montreal.
This series invites you to enter a realm of collaboration through presentations, panel discussions and performances on movement in all its incarnations. These workshops are open to anyone at any stage in their creative development and set out to give an intimate look into the creative processes of composers, choreographers, light designers, journalists and language historians.
By examining movement of energy, of light and sound, of language and our own bodies, the workshops intend to re-affirm and activate wanderings down endless avenues of possibilities – as they can only exist when different modes of travel are created through combustion of differing creative practices.
Workshop participants are invited to intuitively peek inwards at what happens when their own neurons leap across the canyon synapses inside our minds, and instruct the formation of creative potential in moments of collaboration. Each contributor will explain how their practices can infuse and help develop new ways of “learning-in-doing”. The discussions between speakers will be moderated and participants are encouraged to stay for a guided incubation session, with an emphasis on “knowing-in-action”. Dates + registration information to be released soon.
