Lo Fi Dance Theory’s 101 series is an ongoing performance project that explores the LFDT public class structure in different performance settings. Process-based, each act is informed by a different theme or idea.

Rooted in the experimental and DIY ethos, this series was founded in the spirit of making work under any and all circumstances – challenging the rules of engagement by working with artists and audiences in making dance, performance, and art happen when, where, and however we can.

In its first iteration, 101 was created and performed within a democratic protest structure. A collective gathered to examine different ideas, curriculums, and disciplines, testing the boundaries of what happens when they are forced into unanticipated collisions. 101 was presented at École nationale supérieure des Beaux-Arts de Paris during their annual Corps et Artivism event
